K.A.W.S. Mission is to increase awareness of the existence of harassment and violence against Women and Girls, to bring information, training, and empowerment events, and partner with other agencies.
K.A.W.S. Vision: We envision a world, starting with our local community, where women and all people are safe and free from violence and harassment in all forms.

K.A.W.S. was formed in 2018 by Alaya Ketani, M.A., following a
sexual assault of a female employee in a beautiful Ashland restaurant.
Since K.A.W.S. inception, K.A.W.S. has provided the following events to the community: Public Awareness Multi-Agency Approach, Deep Dialogue, Power vs. Force, Year-End Acknowledgments, and has mentored countless Women in vulnerable and violating situations. Please note: K.A.W.S. is NOT a first responder agency. Individuals in urgent and dangerous circumstances need to call Jackson County Helpline, and Sexual Assault Resource Team, S.A.R.T.
