At this juncture in American life most of society has endured a complete disconnect with food and its function in our bodies creating a great deal of unnecessary stress and dis-ease.

Here are some simple foods to add to a dietary intake to enhance nutrient density:

Cabbage is a Cruciferous Vegetable that contains sulforaphane, a known cancer fighter.

Red cabbage contains the powerful antioxidant anthocyanin that helps suppress inflammation in the body which in turn can help lower blood pressure.

Celery has an alkalizing effect on the body, it reduces inflammation and supports digestion.

Apples are extremely rich in important antioxidants, flavanoids and dietary fiber. The phytonutrients and antioxidants may help reduce the risk of developing cancer, hypertension, diabetes and heart disease.

Fiber helps to lower cholesterol levels, helps to control blood sugar levels and aids in achieving healthy weight loss. Fiber naturally scrubs and promotes the elimination of toxins from your body.
